Artist's Comments

A day in the life of a Datura aka Angel's Trumpet, Trumpet Flower, Horn of Plenty, Indian Apple, or Thorn Apple.
The flowers last only a single day, but by midsummer they are produced in a continuous sequence until fall frosts.
Grows 3 to 5 feet tall. Also comes in yellow and lilac but I have only ever seen white. The leaves and the seeds of Datura are poisonous so should not be planted where small children play.
